Terms & Conditions
Website Compliance and Integration Terms
To ensure a secure and seamless payment experience for all users, merchants must adhere to the following terms regarding the integration and maintenance of payment gateways on their websites:
1. Inclusion of Legal Policies:
All necessary legal policies, including the Terms and Conditions, Return and Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy, must be clearly stated and accessible through the website’s footer. This provides transparency and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, fostering trust with customers and partners.
2. Return and Refund Policy:
The Return and Refund Policy must outline a clear and standardized timeline for processing refunds. Typically, this should be within 7 to 10 working days from the date of the refund request. A concise explanation of the process and any conditions applicable to refunds should be included to avoid customer confusion.
3. Company Information and About Us Section:
An About Us section must be present in the website footer. This section should include detailed company and management information, allowing customers to familiarize themselves with the business’s background, mission, and leadership. Transparency in this section builds credibility and enhances customer confidence.
4. Registered Business Address:
The business’s registered address, as specified on its trade license, must be prominently displayed either in the website footer or on the Contact Us page. This ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and provides customers with a point of reference for any legal or communication purposes.
5. Delivery Timeframes:
Clearly specify the delivery timelines for products. For example, *within Dhaka, delivery should occur within **5 working days, while deliveries outside Dhaka should be completed within **10 working days*. These timelines should be visible on product pages or a dedicated delivery information page to set clear customer expectations.
6. Licenses and Certifications:
The company’s *Trade License Number* and/or *TIN Certificate Number* must be mentioned either in the website footer or within the *About Us* section. Displaying these credentials enhances business legitimacy and complies with local laws.
7. Payment Gateway Usage Restrictions:
Websites using our payment gateway must be fully operational and cannot be in demo mode or under maintenance at the time of integration. Live websites ensure real-time transaction handling, which is crucial for preventing errors or disruptions in payment processing.
8. Updated Payment Banner:
The merchant must ensure the latest version of the payment gateway banner is visibly attached to the website footer. This banner promotes awareness and communicates that the merchant is partnered with an accredited and secure payment provider.
9. Product Stock Information:
The product details section should always reflect the correct stock quantity. If a product is out of stock, this must be clearly indicated, either through text or in the product image itself. This avoids confusion and reduces the likelihood of order cancellations or complaints.
10. Third-Party Advertisements and Data Sharing:
Third-party advertisements are generally discouraged on websites using our payment gateway. However, should the merchant choose to allow them, the merchant bears full responsibility for any issues that may arise, including the safeguarding of customer data. The merchant must also assume responsibility if they share any customer information with third parties, ensuring compliance with applicable privacy regulations.
11. Customer Agreement Before Checkout:
At the point of checkout, the website must include a checkbox that prompts the customer to acknowledge and agree to the *Terms & Conditions, **Privacy Policy, and **Return and Refund Policy*. These policies must be hyperlinked for easy access and must be read and accepted by the customer before proceeding with the order. This checkbox should be unchecked by default, requiring the customer to manually check it before finalizing their purchase. This step ensures that the customer is informed and consents to the terms of the transaction.
